Nick recently returned from a trip to Melbourne, Australia. Here are some pictures from this trip.

This train is called the OVERLANDER and it runs between Melbourne and Adelaide some 838km away. It is a NR87 with 4000 hp pulling 12 rail cars and grossing 545 tonnes.
This is an NR34 and this train was used to pull some carriages into place on the OVERLANDER.
Another pic of the NR87 OVERLANDER to Melbourne.
Here is another picture of the NR34.
This train is called the INDIAN PACIFIC and runs between Adelaide and Sydney and was about to depart for Sydney via Broken Hill which is north east of Adelaide in New South Wales and then was going onto Sydney.
This picture was taken from inside the Train and Nick wasn't quite sure what this train is used for, but it looked very small and old. It might just be used to pull or push other carraiges around.
Here is a Melborune tram taken in Bourke street mall in the heart of Melbourne.
Here is a pic of a newer Tram also taken in Bourke Street Mall.
This is a Denning Coachline "Road Tunner."
Here is a picture of an old double decker bus now used for taking people on tours around Melbourne city.
Here are two pictures are of a road legal bus which is now used for making great American doughnuts. The make and model of this bus is unknown. This picture was taken at the Melbourne Queen Street Markets.
