Tribute to Consolidated Freightways Restored Trucks

On September 2, 2002, Consolidated Freightways filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

Only people who R E A L L Y loved their jobs and the history of the company they worked for would work at this labor of love. Here is a finely restored late 40's Freightliner truck and trailer that was used by Consolidated Freightways.

CF 1949 WF800 Freightliner at the Hays Museum in Woodland, CA taken in 1994. Joseph Hyberg Collection. They say this was a three axle box van at one time, cut down for P&D truck. Joseph Hyberg Collection. Two nice retired PIE line drivers let me go inside this CF truck to take pictures. Joseph Hyberg Collection.

Here is two shots for the CF restored trucsk page. This is the first conventional CF bought in the 80's for a test unit restored and in the lobby of their headquarters in Vancouver, WA. This is the truck being donated to the PNW Truck Museum in Brooks.
