Procter's Cartage
Procter Cartage is one of Ontario's premier fleets. This family owned and operated business was started in 1944 and is run from their facility in Weston, Ontario. Their famous black trucks with teal fenders and frames are common sights on the highways of southern Ontario. The Procter family has a great interest in trucking and restoring trucks. This is reflected in there spectacular fleet.
This is one of Procters fabulous trucks. This immaculate Dodge Big Horn is seen entering the Fergus Truck Show in 1999. The passenger is seen reading the custom specs in a Big Horn brochure. This International unit 153 is always in top condition and belongs to Stephen Procter .This photo shows it at the Truck Fest Show in Paris, Ontario spring 2002. Always shining we find unit 153 hard at work pulling a can coming out of Chattam, Ontario.
One of the nicest day cab Pete's in Ontario. This 2000 Pete 379 with 119" BBC is powered by a 410 HP CAT. The driver of this unit always keeps it immaculate. These Internationals are painted in a different variation of the Procter colour. Unit 151 a 1992 9400 Eagle with dual stacks is powered by a 400 horse series 60 this was an ex Pharmacy Cartage. Unit 154 is a 1999 9100 International powered by a M11 370 horse Cummins. Unit 118 this Ford Louisville is seen pulling a trailer for Procters refrigerated service.
Purchased in the spring of 2002 this Ford LTL 9000 was an ex float truck. The owners personal truck, he has added straight pipes, full fenders and polished the tanks to new condition. This truck is in amazing condition considering the life it had before Procters. Once again we see Stephen Procters shiny ride with now an added custom lite bar below the bumper alluminum buds on the drives and many chicken lites on the mirrors giving the truck a Quebec show flare. This is quite a site when you meet this truck at night. Rumour has it.........there is more chome scheduled for this show boat. Unit 153 hooked to a stainless steel tridem reefer trailer.
This neat looking axle forward Louisville with exposed fuel tanks looks cool with the teal treatment on the big Ford front fenders. Five hole buds and sixties looking front end almost give this truck an old feeling. Unit 143 with fresh Procters paint treatment in the winter of 2000. Unit 145, a 1996 Ford L9000 is seen parked in their Weston yard on a cold January 2000 day. Procters have always been big fans when Ford made heavy trucks as seen in this Louisville hooked to a set of A train containers. Powered by a 425 CAT mated to an 18 speed Roadranger.
